Workshop: Making the Most of Caring for People

Let’s be honest—knowing what to say when someone is hurting can feel overwhelming. You want to help, but you may be afraid of saying the wrong thing, crossing a boundary, or making the situation worse. This two-hour workshop is designed to help you care for people with greater confidence and compassion—without feeling responsible for fixing everything. You’ll learn a simple framework for being present, praying with someone, taking a helpful next step, and recognizing when additional support is needed. You’ll also have opportunities to work through realistic situations, practice helpful conversations, and ask honest questions along the way.
This is for you if:
- People regularly turn to you when life gets difficult
- You want to feel more confident responding to someone who is hurting
- You want to help without overpromising, overstepping, or trying to fix everything
What to expect:
- A simple framework you can use when someone needs care
- Practical questions and prayer language
- Guidance for maintaining healthy boundaries
- Realistic scenarios and time to practice
